Senior Sourcing Manager (Telecom)

Location: Remote eligible; Anchorage, Alaska, United States. Virtual workers must comply with remote work policies. Occasional travel between retail stores, offices, worksites, or other locations may be required.

Salary: $102,655–$170,407 per year.

What you will do

• Lead strategic sourcing projects, competitive bidding events, incumbent renegotiations, and full procurement project lifecycles.
• Collect, analyze, and synthesize supplier, internal spend, invoice, and performance data to identify savings and process synergies.
• Develop RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs; research alternative suppliers; conduct reference checks; and evaluate returned bids and supplier proposals.
• Lead project kickoffs, stakeholder interviews, demand planning, baseline-spend presentations, supplier-selection criteria, and negotiation strategy development.
• Review contracts and deals with finance, legal, P/L owners, procurement leaders, and stakeholders; recommend awards and facilitate contract finalization.
• Maintain project documentation and pipelines, track KPIs, transition completed projects to business owners, and promote process improvement and team learning.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a relevant field.
• At least 10 years of experience in telecom, procurement, or a business-related field; relevant work experience and/or education may substitute for the required total years on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience leading project teams.
• Senior-level subject matter expertise with minimal supervision, broad independent judgment, and the ability to perform highly complex or unique assignments under deadlines and operating constraints.
• Ability to provide functional or technical guidance to lower-level staff and foster teamwork.
• In-depth knowledge of telecom supply markets, pricing, competition, licensing, commercial models, procurement methods, contractual models, business processes, tools, templates, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to complete sourcing projects within agreed timeframes and drive $500K to $3M in annual savings.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, influencing, communication, relationship-building, judgment, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel; proficiency with Oracle and procure-to-pay tools and the ability to learn proprietary systems.
• Ability to work shifts, additional hours when necessary, in a standard office or home-office setting; use standard office equipment; communicate information accurately; make valid decisions; and work effectively with diverse teams and customers.
