Category Management & Strategic Sourcing Senior Advisor - IT (Hybrid)

Location: Bloomfield, CT, United States; hybrid work. Occasional or permanent home working requires cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds.

Annual salary: $109,800–$183,000, depending on experience and geographic location; eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Lead sourcing initiatives across Information Security and Technology categories, from small projects to large strategic programs.
• Manage sourcing and contracting activities, engaging subject-matter experts and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies, conduct market analysis, and perform financial benchmarking for products and services.
• Lead supplier negotiations with business stakeholders and Supply Chain Management leadership to secure competitive pricing, reduce risk, improve delivery, and obtain favorable terms.
• Develop RFPs and supplier evaluation tools, recommend suppliers, and maintain supplier relationships and performance reporting.
• Track project progress, identify procurement process improvements, and design supplier relationship models that control costs and maximize value.

Requirements

• At least five years of progressive sourcing experience in a large, global organization.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and reviewing contracts, including Master Services Agreements and Statements of Work.
• Excellent project management, communication, facilitation, leadership, time-management, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead, influence, and motivate others; work in cross-functional teams; build relationships across internal departments; and lead a diverse negotiation team.
• Ability to perform procurement-related financial analyses and understand industry cost structures, cost drivers, and their implications for strategic positioning.
• Ability to apply fact-based negotiation principles and tactics and present findings to key executives and decision-makers.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, changing environment that may involve ambiguity.
• Experience with eSourcing applications such as Ariba and iCertis.
• Commitment to the enterprise vision, values, and goals.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business, Supply Chain, Medical Management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of healthcare, the role of health insurers, and the healthcare supply chain.
