Strategic Sourcing Procurement Sr Advisor - Professional Services - Management Consulting

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days working from home

Base pay: $102,000–$184,300 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Own complex sourcing and category-management workstreams from problem definition through recommendation, stakeholder alignment, and execution.
• Lead RFP, RFI, and RFx initiatives, commercial negotiations, supplier selection, and supplier relationship strategies.
• Develop and negotiate Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, amendments, resource pricing models, and supplier rate cards.
• Analyze financial, supplier, market, and operational data to identify trends, savings opportunities, and investment priorities.
• Translate complex analysis into recommendations and presentations for business and technology leaders.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams, challenge assumptions constructively, and coach colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supplier management, or category management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strategic thinking, analytical skills, business acumen, and strong conflict-resolution abilities.
• Strong executive presence and excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and operate autonomously in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing and negotiating management consulting engagements.
• MBA or master’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with complex commercial agreements, financial analysis, supplier benchmarking, cost modeling, and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Knowledge of outsourcing services, technology-enabled service delivery models, e-Procurement systems, Procure-to-Pay, and contracting modules.
• Advanced Excel and data-analysis capabilities.
