Civil Design Engineer

Location: Wilkesboro, NC, US; flexible hybrid work is supported.

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support the development of engineering designs, technical drawings, calculations, models, reports, and specifications under senior engineer supervision.
• Use CAD and other design software to create and modify engineering drawings and plans in line with project specifications and company standards.
• Research materials, codes, and regulations to support compliant design solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to gather technical input and integrate engineering systems.
• Participate in project meetings, provide task updates, and conduct field visits or site inspections as needed.
• Review design deliverables to support quality control, accuracy, and compliance with firm standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 0–1 year of experience in engineering design or internship experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks in an internship or academic setting.

Nice to have

• Engineer In Training (EIT) certification.
