Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Own hirify.global's AWS cloud infrastructure across ECS, RDS/Aurora, EC2, S3, SQS, ALB, IAM, and related services, including resource sizing, deprovisioning, tagging, and cost visibility.
• Build reproducible, isolated, production-like environments for engineers and AI agents with database cloning, per-branch services, routing, seed data, and automatic teardown.
• Improve staging reliability and representativeness, including search infrastructure and test-state management.
• Bring Terraform infrastructure-as-code under control and build safe, reviewable CI/CD automation.
• Own observability and incident response across Datadog, Sentry, and PostHog by rationalizing monitoring, improving alerting, and detecting issues earlier.
• Define the infrastructure roadmap and improve engineering practices through documentation, tooling, code reviews, and mentorship.

Requirements

• 7+ years of infrastructure, platform, or SRE experience with deep AWS expertise, including ECS, RDS/Aurora, EC2, ALB, IAM, and CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience owning and improving CI/CD pipelines, deployment infrastructure, and developer tooling at a growing company.
• Experience building or managing non-production environments such as staging, ephemeral environments, or seed-data systems.
• Experience instrumenting systems, building dashboards, improving observability, and strengthening incident response.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including technical documentation, thoughtful questions, and constructive feedback.
• Systems-oriented thinking, with attention to root causes, developer experience, cost efficiency, and unit economics.
• Ability to define an infrastructure roadmap, make trade-off decisions, and own outcomes.
