Senior Consultant - Data Platforms & Architecture (Azure)

Location: Remote - US

Base salary: $103,100–$154,700 USD annually, plus potential annual discretionary/utilization bonus.

What you will do

• Deliver technical projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Implement Microsoft Power BI solutions and related technologies.
• Design and develop high-performing, reliable, and scalable data platforms using data warehouses, data marts, data models, and advanced database systems.
• Develop reports, dashboards, scorecards, data exploration, and visual analytics for business, financial, and operational analysis.
• Perform data analysis, author and oversee project design documents, and communicate technical details to business and management stakeholders.
• Support pre-sales activities and RFPs, coach team members, and demonstrate emerging technologies and concepts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is desired.
• 2–5 years of experience with expertise in Microsoft Azure, including services such as Azure Databricks, Data Lake, Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure OpenAI.
• Expert knowledge of data management, business intelligence, and analytics concepts, including ETL; data warehouses, data lakes, data marts, data stores, and cubes; data quality and profiling; data governance, master data management, and metadata management.
• Knowledge of data visualization, dashboards, reporting, self-service BI, KPIs, scorecards, and predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics.
• Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, including Power BI, Excel, and SQL Server technologies such as SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS.
• Ability to learn new concepts and software, passion for learning new technologies, and familiarity with database-centric applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Data Estate technologies, including SQL DB, Cosmos DB, SQL DW, and Data Lake.
• Experience with Azure ML Studio or Azure ML Services.
• Advanced SQL knowledge, including stored procedures, triggers, analytic functions, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
• Experience with data science tools, technologies, and techniques, including R, Python, and algorithms.
