Data Engineer (SQL & Azure)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid remote/office work.

What you will do

• Design and implement logical and physical data models for application features and advanced analytics.
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for large data volumes using Azure Data Factory and related services.
• Contribute to the evolution of cloud-based data architecture for functional and analytical requirements.
• Implement controls for data quality, integrity, and efficiency throughout the data lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to integrate data solutions into external-facing fleet management applications.
• Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries to improve response times and system efficiency.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or database development.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and SQL Databases.
• Strong SQL programming, data modeling, and data warehousing skills.
• Experience with SQL performance tuning, analytical query optimization, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Agile methodology, and Git.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
