Strategic Sourcing Manager (IT Software & Services)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; hybrid presence required in the office 3 days per week.

Base salary: $182,000–$219,000 per year, excluding RSUs, Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights, and any sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Guide departments in procuring IT software, hardware, and services.
• Manage CRM, ERP, SaaS, and related procurements supporting operational scaling and efficiency.
• Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships and procurement opportunities.
• Advise internal stakeholders on supplier selection and management.
• Identify sourcing alternatives through benchmarking, competitive quotes, and process improvements.
• Negotiate costs, terms, and conditions while coordinating the source-to-pay process with stakeholders and finance throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, indirect category management, contracting, and/or supply chain management.
• 4+ years of experience in technology categories, including networking hardware, software, services, and associated agreements.
• Experience with strategic sourcing, financial and business opportunity analysis, legal frameworks, and contract negotiation.
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts, including reviewing redlines and identifying solutions to potential issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Open-minded, self-starting approach with the ability to provide feedback, strategies, and recommendations to stakeholders and suppliers.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Program Management, or a relevant discipline.
• Experience in the autonomous vehicle industry, high-tech, or another safety-critical environment.
• Experience in an NPI environment and cross-functional work with PMO or engineering organizations.
