Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing – Technology (AI)

Location: Hybrid office role requiring two days per week in the office; candidates must be based in Bellevue, Washington, or the San Francisco Bay Area.

Annual base salary: $179,000–$246,400 USD for candidates in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington; an additional range of $160,000–$220,000 USD is listed.

What you will do

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across Software, Network, SaaS, IaaS, Telephony, and AI categories.
• Develop 3–5 year technology category strategies aligned with stakeholder needs and company objectives.
• Establish sourcing KPIs, governance, policies, and processes to improve efficiency, savings, and risk management.
• Lead complex supplier negotiations, contract decisions, SLA discussions, and technology procurement risk mitigation.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Security, Privacy, and Technology leaders on sourcing strategy and compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Category Managers while managing supplier relationships, market analysis, executive reporting, and M&A sourcing support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience, including leadership responsibility and deep Technology sourcing experience.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing methodologies, contract negotiations, supplier management, cost optimization, technology contract law, and commercial terms.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to address ambiguous problems and work with executives.
• Experience with procurement tools such as Coupa, Workday Strategic Sourcing/Scout, SAP, Oracle, or Ariba, plus advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement from Bellevue, Washington, or the San Francisco Bay Area.

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple technology categories and industries.
