Senior Frontend Engineer - Web Platform (AI)

Location: San Mateo, CA, United States; onsite role

Annual OTE: $130,000–$280,000 USD

Develops an AI-powered platform for physical security and connected devices, including video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management, serving enterprise customers worldwide.

What you will do

• Execute and scale a microfrontend transition across a large, complex web codebase.
• Partner with and mentor engineers across 8+ product teams, providing platform tools for scalable user experiences.
• Champion AI tools, methodologies, and integrations across web engineering workflows.
• Evaluate modern web technologies and frameworks and design next-generation platform architecture.
• Configure, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency and developer velocity.
• Build shared utilities, infrastructure libraries, architectural patterns, and automated testing standards in collaboration with the Design System team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant industry experience in frontend or platform web development.
• Expertise with modern web technologies including React, TypeScript, Webpack, and Vite.
• Experience building complex single-page applications and designing or implementing microfrontend architectures.
• Experience configuring, optimizing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Strong experience establishing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies and improving code quality.
• Experience with or strong interest in AI-assisted development and integrating AI into engineering workflows.
• Degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
