Underwriter - Property General - CorSo (Commercial Property)

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, US; hybrid work model with an expectation of being in the office an average of three days per week; up to 20% travel may be required.

Base salary: $108,000–$162,000.

What you will do

• Underwrite large global structured programs and 100% single-carrier ground-up property accounts across Middle and Upper Middle Market business, including Fortune 500 accounts and purchased limits up to USD 500 million.
• Analyze insurability, exposures, coverages, policy terms, pricing metrics, manmade risks, and natural catastrophe property risks for new and renewal submissions.
• Prepare quotations, structure programs, develop terms and conditions using hirify.global tools and systems, and negotiate key terms in line with underwriting strategy.
• Maintain risk information and accounts in internal systems, administer the book of business, and develop marketing and originating prospects.
• Build relationships with brokers, clients, team members, and hirify.global Group entities through meetings and ongoing collaboration.
• Coach less experienced underwriters and lead internal or external technical, organizational, market, and client development projects.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of insurance, commercial property underwriting, and the property insurance market, specifically the Southeast region.
• Minimum 2–5+ years of property underwriting experience with medium to large corporates, including lead capacity and servicing insurance programs.
• Proficiency with underwriting tools, applications, and guidelines, including the ability to interpret and judge their results.
• Solid knowledge of the market environment and trends, plus a strong broker and client network in the region.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle multiple deals in parallel without losing oversight.
• Proven success working in a team environment, with strong communication, partnering, self-management, and proactive behavior.
