Sr. Agency Management Specialist (Insurance)

Location: Remote in the state of Washington, United States

Salary: USD $111,000–$144,000 per year, plus an incentive plan and production bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage relationships between Selective, independent agents, regional underwriting, claims, loss control, and corporate departments.
• Assess agency strengths and weaknesses and support profitable growth in volume and policy count.
• Monitor agency results, compliance, growth, profitability, and share of wallet.
• Apply underwriting decisions and pricing philosophies while promoting efficient business processes.
• Conduct underwriting, sales, and information technology training for agents and their staff.
• Perform inspections, recommend risk improvements, audit agency business, and provide quality assurance feedback.

Requirements

• Seasoned agency management specialist with a proven record of achieving business goals.
• Superior communication, negotiation, presentation, organizational, and self-management skills.
• At least 6 years of underwriting, marketing, or field underwriting experience; a college degree is preferred.
• Preferred experience includes 4 years in agency management or rating and 3 years in claims or loss-control inspection.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internal business software.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing and ability to drive; car travel represents approximately 40–50% of the role.
