What you will do

• Develop and grow a profitable agency force aligned with Selective initiatives, products, policies, procedures, and services.
• Make consistent underwriting decisions and support ease of doing business through adherence to company pricing philosophies.
• Monitor agency results (growth, profitability, share of wallet) and follow up on compliance with company initiatives, procedures, and policies.
• Maintain two-way communication with agents and support adoption of internal systems (CLAS, PLUS, eSelect).
• Perform loss control inspections, recommend risk improvements/corrections, and document outcomes.
• Audit agency business and provide quality assurance feedback; meet regularly with internal partners to discuss results and opportunities.

Requirements

• Location/Work eligibility: Must be able to work remotely from the state of Washington.
• 6+ years of underwriting, marketing, or field underwriting experience; role is for a seasoned AMS with a proven track record.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to work independently and stay organized.
• Technology: Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internal business software.
• Driving: Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to drive; car travel is ~40–50% of time within the territory.
• College degree preferred.
