ATS Engineer, Senior (AI-Datacenter Integration Expertise Desired)

Location: Hybrid in Danville, California, US.

Salary: $122,000–$194,000 annually in the Bay Area, or $116,000–$184,000 annually in California.

What you will do

• Develop technical strategies for integrating data centers, distributed energy resources, microgrids, flexible loads, and load-management technologies.
• Evaluate the effects of emerging data center loads on transmission and distribution systems.
• Lead research and development initiatives addressing load growth, transmission and distribution planning, grid reliability, resilience, and interconnection requirements.
• Lead complex tests, develop test protocols and models, analyze data, and oversee technical system and prototype assembly.
• Define project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, bid estimates, presentations, recommendations, and testing or process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a discipline related to the assignments, such as mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years of related experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Broad understanding of engineering research and testing concepts, theories, practices, methods, and techniques in the area of specialty, plus general understanding of other engineering specialties.
• Understanding of quality assurance and control concepts and practices.
• Strong investigative and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Organizational and project management skills, team leadership, communication, presentation, teamwork, and customer service skills.
