Electrical Engineer III (Data Center Substations)

Location: Remote or Lakewood, Colorado; applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Hybrid or fully remote work is available depending on location and project needs, with 15–25% travel and periodic field engagement.

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 per year, based on the Denver, Colorado labor market.

What you will do

• Design substation electrical power systems, including one-line and three-line diagrams, control and relay schematics, wiring, SCADA, communications, grounding, equipment selection, and cable routing.
• Build computer-based models and perform short-circuit, load-flow, relay-coordination, arc-flash, power-factor, harmonic, and related power system studies.
• Develop protective relay settings and perform hand checks to validate computer-aided results.
• Prepare equipment specifications, cost estimates, budgets, proposals, studies, schedules, and other project documentation.
• Provide field assistance and troubleshooting, review work for quality, and support client communication and project meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution; an electric power option is preferred.
• 1–5 years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Knowledge of substation electrical design and relevant codes and standards.
• Effective written and oral communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• FE or PE licensure.
• AutoCAD experience.
