Warehouse/Safety Coordinator (Marine)

Location: Norfolk, VA; onsite warehouse role in an industrial environment with frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Salary: Anticipated starting pay of $25.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Create workplace communications, visual materials, filing systems, record-retention schedules, and new-hire packets.
• Coordinate outside contractors, visitor protocols, customer orders for propeller repairs, and backup support for will-call operations.
• Manage Coast Guard kit inventory, cycle counts, stock levels, inventory adjustments, variance analysis, and shipping discrepancy resolutions.
• Coordinate safety training, including hazardous materials training; maintain safety documentation and training matrices; and plan safety initiatives.
• Process incident reports, conduct investigations, inspect the facility, maintain safety equipment coordination, and oversee contractor safety compliance.
• Maintain driver manifests and fuel receipts, reconcile fuel transactions, distribute safety documentation, and communicate with customers, sales, and internal stakeholders.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
• High integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
• Problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Ability to assist employees with software platforms including Workday, with strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems.
• Comfort working in an industrial warehouse environment, following safety protocols, maintaining current knowledge of safety regulations, and handling the stated physical requirements.
