Electrical BIM Design Technician (Data Center & Power Systems)

What you will do

• Set up, manage, and develop electrical Revit BIM models according to project requirements and client BIM standards.
• Coordinate Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD content across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and telecom disciplines to produce clash-free 3D models.
• Translate redlines, markups, and senior designer direction into 2D construction drawings and installation packages.
• Support the design and layout of electrical power distribution, cable routing, and lighting systems.
• Apply electrical codes, industry standards, specifications, and device wiring requirements to design decisions.
• Estimate modeling and design hours and use digital markup tools such as Bluebeam to support reviews, revisions, and drawing deliverables.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of professional electrical Revit design experience combined with relevant electrical systems design and construction industry experience.
• Expertise in Revit BIM modeling, Navisworks clash detection, and AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of wiring and cabling connections, circuiting, and electrical system schematics.
• Familiarity with digital markup and PDF collaboration software, such as Bluebeam.
• Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and specifications as applied to electrical design.
• Effective written and verbal communication, strong organization, multitasking ability, and motivation to learn new tools and methodologies.

Nice to have

• Technical certification or relevant coursework in drafting, design, or engineering.
• Specialized design experience in mission-critical data center environments.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial power distribution, cable routing hierarchies, lighting systems, and electrical one-line diagrams.
• Ability to estimate design hours and independently manage modeling workloads.
