Senior Director, IT/Tech Procurement (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; must reside in the United States at the time of application. Central or Eastern Time Zone preferred.

Salary: USD 151,800–215,000 yearly base compensation; may also include sales-based or performance-based incentive.

What you will do

• Develop and execute global category and sub-category strategies across enterprise software and SaaS, cloud and infrastructure, IT services, telecommunications, hardware, data and analytics, and emerging technologies including AI.
• Lead competitive sourcing processes, RFIs, RFPs, complex global negotiations, and multi-year sourcing strategies for strategic technology suppliers.
• Optimize technology spend, software licenses, cloud consumption, subscription quantities, supplier portfolios, application rationalization, and commercial models.
• Establish supplier management programs, executive business reviews, scorecards, KPIs, value-creation plans, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Manage contract lifecycle, renewals, compliance controls, supplier concentration, financial, operational, commercial, and contractual risks.
• Advise and collaborate with the CTO organization, Technology, Finance, Legal, Security, Privacy, and other senior stakeholders; lead cross-functional initiatives and coach procurement team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, including significant Technology/IT procurement experience within a complex global organization.
• Experience managing and negotiating large, complex technology agreements and leading complex competitive sourcing initiatives and executive-level supplier negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of several major technology categories, ideally including enterprise software/SaaS, cloud infrastructure, IT services, data and analytics, hardware/networking, and emerging technology/AI.
• Strong understanding of technology commercial and licensing models, including subscription, consumption-based, enterprise licensing, and professional services models.
• Ability to analyze technology spend, usage, licensing, and supplier economics to identify optimization opportunities.
• Strong financial acumen, including developing business cases, evaluating total cost of ownership, and translating commercial structures into financial impact.
• Strong understanding of sourcing processes, contract structures, and key commercial and legal considerations for technology agreements; demonstrated change-management and stakeholder-management capabilities in a global matrixed organization.
• Ability to influence and challenge senior Technology and business stakeholders while maintaining collaborative relationships; strong executive communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English.
