Director, Procurement and Vendor Management (Technology)

Location: United States; remote role

Salary: $161,500–$218,500 base annually, plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Develop and execute technology procurement and vendor management strategies supporting organizational growth and operational efficiency.
• Lead strategic sourcing and competitive evaluations across software, SaaS, AI tools, cloud infrastructure, communications platforms, and technology-enabled services.
• Negotiate enterprise agreements, multi-year contracts, usage-based pricing, renewals, and other commercial terms.
• Establish procurement policies, purchasing workflows, vendor onboarding standards, approval processes, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee contract lifecycle management, renewals, licensing, service commitments, vendor performance, and vendor business reviews.
• Partner with Information Systems, Security, Legal, Finance, and business leaders on technology utilization, vendor consolidation, security assessments, data protection, SSO, integrations, and third-party risk.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management, including at least 3 years negotiating technology, SaaS, or services contracts.
• Experience negotiating multi-year software agreements and renewals.
• Experience managing purchase order processes and using spend management or ERP systems.
• Experience reviewing contracts and partnering with Legal on renewal, liability, data protection, and termination terms.
• Experience establishing procurement processes at a fast-growing company and improving efficiency through AI tools and automation.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with contract lifecycle management tools, spend management platforms, and vendor pricing benchmarks.
• Experience with FinOps principles or procurement certifications such as CPSM.
