Maintenance Planner (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and optimize preventive, predictive, corrective, and reliability-focused maintenance activities using PeopleSoft as the primary CMMS.
• Prioritize work based on equipment criticality, operational requirements, production schedules, resources, safety, environmental compliance, and business needs.
• Create, track, document, and close work orders, including labor, materials, equipment history, completed work, and maintenance records.
• Coordinate maintenance technicians, contractors, tools, equipment, materials, and Storeroom requirements for planned work.
• Support capital projects, equipment installations, plant modifications, major repairs, planned and unplanned outages, shutdowns, inspections, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Analyze equipment history, condition monitoring, predictive maintenance results, inspection findings, and reliability metrics to develop recommendations and improve asset performance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least three years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance coordination, reliability support, maintenance supervision, or related maintenance roles in an industrial environment.
• Experience supporting plant outages, shutdowns, turnarounds, major maintenance projects, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong organizational, planning, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, including effective work with maintenance, operations, engineering, contractors, suppliers, and leadership.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, and industrial process systems.
• Experience using CMMS platforms for work order management, maintenance planning, scheduling, asset management, and reliability tracking.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and manage resources in a dynamic operating environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience analyzing maintenance data, equipment history, reliability metrics, failure trends, and performance information to support maintenance planning and asset reliability.
• Ability to support asset reliability programs, maintenance excellence initiatives, and long-term equipment performance improvement strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience with PeopleSoft; SAP, Maximo, Oracle, Infor, or similar ERP/CMMS platforms will also be considered.
• Experience in power generation, waste-to-energy, resource recovery, pulp and paper, chemical processing, manufacturing, industrial utility, or another continuous-process industrial environment.
