Sr. Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical

Location: US - WV - Parkersburg; onsite at the hirify.global Washington Works facility.

Annual pay range: $110,544.00–$172,725.00, plus an 11% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Support efficient field execution of mechanical maintenance work for a production unit.
• Develop maintenance job plans, procedures, and execution standards.
• Troubleshoot fixed and rotating equipment issues and support root cause analyses.
• Lead major equipment rebuilds, overhauls, repairs, and efforts to return failed equipment to service.
• Implement plant change-of-design projects, including component improvement, reverse engineering, equipment refresh, and rebuilds.
• Coordinate with mechanics, operations, contractors, OEMs, fabrication teams, machine shops, and other engineering disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, equipment drawings, engineering standards, and data-based technical problem solving.
• Experience troubleshooting and specifying or repairing fixed and rotating equipment.
• Experience with equipment or component design and reverse engineering.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively, follow required PPE procedures, and climb multiple flights of stairs.

Nice to have

• Eight years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Formal root cause analysis experience.
