Production Planner (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Wilton, Connecticut, United States; onsite manufacturing role.

Salary: $66,000–$97,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain feasible production plans across a 13-week planning horizon.
• Monitor production progress, work in progress, inventory, capacity, and performance against established plans.
• Identify material shortages and coordinate actions to protect upcoming production requirements.
• Evaluate equipment, tooling, facility, and resource constraints and develop practical planning scenarios.
• Analyze production risks, bottlenecks, and performance trends using enterprise planning systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Support new-product introductions and engineering changes, lead cross-functional improvements, and serve as a subject-matter resource for an assigned planning process.

Requirements

• 3+ years of production planning or supply chain experience within manufacturing.
• At least 1 year of experience using SAP or a comparable enterprise resource planning system.
• At least 2 years of experience managing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, conditional formatting, pivot tables, and charts.
• Experience supporting at least one new-product introduction within a production environment.
• Knowledge of Lean methodology or another structured continuous improvement approach.
• Ability to analyze complex production information, communicate risks and recommendations, manage competing priorities, collaborate across teams, adapt plans, and follow actions through completion.
• Ability to present data and recommendations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, work independently, and contribute to shared factory objectives.
• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under applicable United States export administration regulations before beginning work.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, supply chain management, communications, or a related discipline.
• Relevant APICS certification in planning, supply chain, project management, engineering, or master data.
