Manager, Supply Chain (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite role.

Salary: $123,634–$156,603 annually, plus a bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4 Buyers, 4 Planners, and 1 Master Scheduler.
• Direct site-level procurement, material planning, inventory control, and master scheduling to align supply with demand and protect production commitments.
• Drive MRP execution, material availability, shortage recovery, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and production readiness.
• Lead supplier onboarding, qualification coordination, risk assessment, change management, obsolescence management, and lifecycle mitigation.
• Establish KPIs, policies, controls, standard work, and continuous-improvement practices across supply chain operations.
• Partner with R&D, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Strategic Sourcing, Logistics, and global supply chain teams on escalations, engineering changes, production priorities, and new-product ramps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of progressive supply chain experience in capital equipment, semiconductor equipment, or another complex manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years of direct people-management experience.
• Experience leading purchasing and/or materials planning operations, with working knowledge of supplier management, obsolescence, inventory, production planning, and process improvement.
• Front-line people leadership, coaching, performance management, and team development skills.
• Strong command of purchasing, material planning, MRP, master scheduling, inventory control, and shortage management.
• Ability to convert demand, supply, and production data into priorities and executable recovery plans.
• Knowledge of supplier performance management, onboarding, risk mitigation, obsolescence/lifecycle management, lean problem-solving, KPI management, and data-driven decision-making.
• Clear communication, escalation management, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to balance service, inventory, cost, risk, and schedule trade-offs.
• Ability to lead tactical execution while maintaining awareness of business, customer, and growth priorities.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Experience leading buyer, planner, and/or production scheduling teams in a high-mix, complex manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or a comparable ERP/MRP platform.
• Experience with supplier collaboration or sourcing platforms such as Ariba.
