Winter 2027: Software Developer Co-op (8 months)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Toronto office.

Salary: $36–46/hour; Toronto base pay range of $66,000–$125,500. Additional cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Write, test, and debug code for new features and product improvements.
• Participate in technical discussions, design decisions, and architecture work with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Maintain and improve continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and development tools.
• Gather requirements, define technical specifications, and create test plans with internal and external stakeholders.
• Learn new technologies, share knowledge, and explore solutions to technical challenges.

Requirements

• Be actively enrolled in a post-secondary education program and have a graduation date after the co-op term ends.
• Be available for an 8-month co-op term from January through August 2027, working 40 hours per week.
• Be legally eligible to work in Canada for the full co-op term without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Be able to work in the Toronto office at least 3 days per week.
• Demonstrate customer empathy and genuine interest in customer insight, including evaluating products from perspectives different from your own.
• Demonstrate AI fluency and use tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude Code, or Cursor to analyze data, build prototypes, and create dashboards while checking their outputs critically.
• Have programming experience in one or more of Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go, with a solid understanding of data structures and coding concepts.
• Approach problem-solving and debugging systematically, break down ambiguous problems, and know when to ask for help.
• Take ownership of projects from start to finish, communicate progress clearly, collaborate effectively, and maintain a growth mindset.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Git, cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, or frameworks such as React.
