Senior Software Engineer, International (Fullstack)

Location: Hybrid work from the New York City, Toronto, or Menlo Park offices, with in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week.

Base pay: $196,000–$230,000 USD annually in Zone 1. Other compensation zones range from $153,000 to $202,000 annually, depending on location.

What you will do

• Design and develop frontend interfaces with React and TypeScript and backend services with Go and Python.
• Deliver international capabilities including localized onboarding, KYC/AML identity verification, multi-currency funding, and regional trading experiences.
• Build growth mechanisms, localized promotion engines, and user acquisition pipelines for international markets.
• Architect reusable internationalization and localization platforms for expansion into new jurisdictions.
• Improve system availability, latency, fault tolerance, observability, automated testing, and production operations.
• Collaborate with product, design, compliance, legal, and platform teams to translate jurisdictional requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems across the full stack.
• Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, Go or Python, relational and NoSQL databases, and event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
• Experience with distributed systems, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, REST APIs, gRPC, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience taking complex features from technical design through phased rollout, production validation, and maintenance.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Availability to work from the New York City, Toronto, or Menlo Park office at least 3 days per week.
