Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack)

Location: Remote in most locations across the United States, Ontario, or British Columbia, Canada. The role includes expected travel to in-person company or team offsites 1–2 times per year.

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 per year in the US; $140,000–$190,000 per year in Canada.

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and extend products and features that solve real customer problems.
• Build scalable cloud-based services and real-time data processing systems across backend and frontend layers.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to validate customer needs and technical approaches.
• Prototype solutions, test assumptions, de-risk projects, and iterate ideas into production-ready systems.
• Communicate technical trade-offs, document architectural decisions, and deliver incremental value.
• Support teammates through code reviews, pairing, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with at least one of Java, Python, or Node/JavaScript, plus modern frontend development; Vue.js experience is beneficial.
• Experience building real-time data processing systems, APIs, and cloud-native architectures, preferably with AWS.
• Proficiency with SQL and non-relational databases, including schema and data modeling.
• Ability to use modern AI tools to accelerate development and improve quality.
• Must be located in the United States, Ontario, or British Columbia, Canada; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue.js or another major MV* framework.
• Passion for mobility, sustainability, public transit, or other mission-oriented projects.
