Associate Territory Manager (Medical Devices)

Location: Remote, San Diego, CA; field-based work in hospitals, doctors’ offices, and other medical establishments within the assigned territory. Relocation at the time of hire and throughout employment is strongly preferred. Travel by automobile, train, or airplane may be required, with occasional evenings and weekends.

Salary: $70,000 base salary; $95,000 at-plan compensation including variable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Support sales, account growth, territory management, and territory coverage in collaboration with Territory Managers and Regional Management.
• Persuade physicians and educate, engage, and empower hospital and office support staff through individual discussions, group in-servicing, exhibits, and conferences.
• Support sales and ongoing account management for LifeVest and CDx products, with a focus on consistent utilization and future strategic products.
• Enroll and train customers on the ZOLL Patient Management System and support complete medical orders, documentation, reorders, and reduction of medical order exceptions.
• Communicate clinical data and Sudden Cardiac Arrest and LifeVest information to increase awareness and support clinical decision-making.
• Achieve assigned sales objectives, implement field sales plans, analyze territory trends, and provide coverage during Territory Manager absences or vacancies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university is required.
• At least one year of sales experience in a strong B2B environment, pharmaceutical field, or medical device field; or at least two years of relevant field clinical support experience for a pharmaceutical or medical device company.
• Alternatively, at least two years of strong clinical experience in a multispecialty hospital environment in cardiology, or at least three years of experience as a Junior Military Officer leading a team, project, or account management.
• Valid state driver’s license is required.
• Ability to influence clinical decision-making through sales efforts, including presentation and discussion of clinical data.
• Ability to drive an automobile and perform regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, listening, hearing, and speaking; occasional stooping and bending may be required.
