Senior Java Developer (AI)

Base pay range: $175,000–$220,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, refactor, and modernize complex enterprise software applications and components.
• Lead technical analysis, design, implementation, and delivery planning across multiple application initiatives.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, availability, and configuration.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites and promote quality engineering practices.
• Contribute to technical architecture, estimate effort, identify risks, and guide delivery milestones.
• Mentor associate and mid-level developers and collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 9+ years of hands-on application development experience with strong Java expertise in distributed systems.
• Advanced Java proficiency and experience developing backend and frontend applications.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring JPA, REST APIs, service-oriented and microservices architectures, cloud computing concepts, TDD, and DDD.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, SQL, and relational databases.
• Knowledge of secure coding methodologies for protecting systems against cyberthreats and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to design and troubleshoot large-scale, high-availability systems; performance-critical and scalable systems experience is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, multitasking, and context-switching skills.
• Ability to evaluate existing systems, drive improvements, adopt new technologies, use AI tools, and maintain current industry knowledge and best practices.

Nice to have

• Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
