Location: Crossman Respect Building, 1375 Crossman Ave, Sunnyvale, California, United States; the posting also lists Bentonville, Arkansas as an alternative location.

Salary: $117,000–$234,000 annual salary range for Sunnyvale; $90,000–$180,000 annual salary range for Bentonville. Additional performance bonuses and possible stock compensation may apply.

What you will do

• Own delivery of scoped software features and models through collaborative engineering teams.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software using multiple programming languages.
• Integrate AI/ML components and use generative AI tools to improve software capabilities and development efficiency.
• Conduct solution design and code reviews while applying secure, scalable, and maintainable design patterns.
• Translate stakeholder and business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Monitor application performance, resolve defects, mentor peers, and promote continuous engineering improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or a related area; or 5 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.
• Extensive software development experience with proficiency in Java, Spring Boot applications, and microservices.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices.
• Experience delivering scoped features and models through iterative development and continuous integration and deployment.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools.
• Skills in solution design, technical leadership, and scalable, maintainable design patterns.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Commitment to engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or a related area.
• Experience creating inclusive digital experiences, implementing WCAG 2.2 AA standards, using assistive technologies, and applying digital accessibility best practices.
