Market Engineer I - Corporate (Las Vegas)

Location: Las Vegas, NV, United States (On-site); this is not a remote work position. The role requires walking 3+ miles daily through casino properties and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

What you will do

• Monitor the Las Vegas IT Operations ticketing queue and prioritize and assign issues.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for casino operating systems and support IT systems, hardware, and software.
• Perform server and security audits, system backups, and recovery procedures aligned with disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Lead corporate or property-based IT projects, coordinating schedules, milestones, assignments, equipment installations, and deployments.
• Develop reliable, best-practice technical solutions to complex problems.
• Train and guide junior team members while adhering to Gaming Control Board standards.

Requirements

• Experience supporting IT systems for casino technologies.
• Strong understanding of ticketing software such as ServiceNow.
• Experience with point-of-sale devices and monitoring systems.
• Familiarity with incident-handling techniques and processes.
• Solid scripting skills, such as shell scripting, Perl, Ruby, or Python.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and walk more than 3 miles per day through casino properties.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required Gaming licenses; Nevada gaming licensing is required.

Nice to have

• CompTIA A+, Network, or Security certification.
