Network Operations Analyst II

Location: Onsite in Springfield, Missouri; remote work is not an option.

What you will do

• Monitor networks, systems, applications, and operational processes; log incidents and report issues.
• Perform initial fault isolation, investigate root causes, propose resolutions, and escalate nonstandard or complex issues.
• Support continuous integration activities, routine website and application software testing, systems testing, and software defect monitoring.
• Assist with disaster recovery and contingency plans, preventive maintenance, equipment checks, adjustments, and repairs.
• Analyze operational data, identify trends, prepare reports, and recommend continuous improvements.
• Provide technical guidance and after-hours operational support through an on-call rotation when required.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent technical training/certification.
• 7–12 months of experience with straightforward procedures or systems.
• 4–6 months of basic experience coordinating the work of others.
• Monitor computer networks and use IP addresses for packet communications over intranets and the Internet.
• Administer WANs and LANs; set up and maintain operating systems.
• Install, configure, and manage software and operating environments.
• Use systematic technical problem-solving, data analysis, trend identification, reporting, and root cause investigation.
• Understand business context, requirements, rules, architecture, organizational structures, cultures, capabilities, and processes to document current-state processes.
• Coordinate processes and activities to integrate project management work into a cohesive plan; review recommendations and requirements to create appropriate plans.
• Adapt to changing situations, plan and monitor activities during change, and communicate ideas, requests, plans, and policies clearly and effectively.
• Provide after-hours support and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
