Engineer II - System (Windows/Linux)

Location: Hybrid position based in Arizona, at the Deer Valley site, 2500 W Utopia Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027. Work hours are 8:00am–5:00pm with an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation.

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, support, and maintain Windows Server and Linux/Red Hat platforms and hybrid cloud components.
• Troubleshoot server incidents, service requests, workflow issues, and moderately complex technical problems with peers and vendors.
• Manage server lifecycle activities, including patches, firmware updates, version upgrades, testing, and release support.
• Maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or similar tools and support certificate generation and renewal.
• Apply hardening baselines, RBAC principles, change controls, and organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, procedures, diagrams, training materials, and knowledge-transfer content.

Requirements

• Must reside in Arizona and be available for hybrid work in Phoenix.
• Four years of experience in Windows and/or Linux/Red Hat administration or engineering roles.
• A technology-related bachelor's degree, certificate, six years of progressive related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise server platforms, incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations and occasional after-hours changes.

Nice to have

• One year of automation or scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
• Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or Azure Administrator Associate certification.
• RHCSA, LPIC-1/LPIC-2, CCNA/CCNP Data Center, scripting, or ITIL v4 Foundations certification.
