Network Operations Center Analyst I (Onsite Role)

What you will do

• Monitor computer networks, infrastructure, applications, and systems; log incidents and support routine systems monitoring and testing.
• Identify, isolate, report, and help resolve network, software, equipment, and operational faults, escalating complex issues to senior colleagues.
• Perform website and application tests, investigate performance issues and software defects, and suggest corrections for approval.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and record operational data; support basic root cause analysis and reporting for decision-making.
• Implement disaster recovery and contingency plans, perform preventive maintenance and repairs, and research technical improvements for software and supporting infrastructure.
• Provide operational support, customer and supplier responses, incident reporting, and after-hours coverage through an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent technical training or certification.
• 7–12 months of experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems.
• Monitor computer networks and use a systematic process to identify technical problems and select appropriate solutions.
• Use IP addresses for packet communications through intranet and Internet environments; administer WANs and LANs.
• Set up and maintain operating systems; install, configure, and manage software and environments.
• Understand business context, needs, rules, architecture, organizational structure, capabilities, and processes to document current-state processes.
• Design, execute, and report on systems and service tests to verify that applications meet requirements.
• Communicate ideas, requests, plans, and policies clearly and effectively; review recommendations and requirements and develop appropriate plans or actions.
• Adapt thinking and work habits to changing situations, coordinate processes and activities into cohesive plans, and provide after-hours operational support through an on-call rotation.
