Educational Consultant – Per Diem (EdTech)

Location: Based in Denver, Colorado, United States; not a remote position. Candidates must currently live in or be open to relocating to Denver, and must have their own transportation and a valid driver's license. Travel up to 80% is required, including overnight stays and transportation by car, plane, and/or public transportation.

Compensation: $35–$65/hour, depending on the assigned work. Compensation is also provided for professional development delivery, internal training, travel time, and travel expenses.

What you will do

• Become an expert in the company’s online diagnostic and instruction program and Common Core products for grades K–8.
• Coordinate and deliver on-site product training and professional development for teachers, coaches, and school administrators.
• Adapt professional development workshops within specified parameters to participant needs.
• Provide tailored support including lesson planning, pacing guidance, data analysis, and implementation support for educators and leaders.
• Participate in internal professional improvement through observation, feedback, and coaching.
• Track and submit detailed training notes, complete assignments on time, and maintain a professional image with customers and prospects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in teaching, coaching teachers, and providing professional development. Experience teaching at the secondary level, grades 6–12, is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Common Core State Standards for grades K–8, or comparable state standards, including content and practice standards.
• Fluency with digital tools and online assessments, with comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and their application to professional development.
• Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Exceptional time management, organizational skills, prioritization ability, and attention to detail.
• Excellent computer and internet skills, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an educational cohort.
• Own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel up to 80% are required.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching at the secondary level, grades 6–12.
• Knowledge of online meeting programs such as Zoom or WebEx.
• Bilingual ability.

• Part-time, temporary per diem work scheduled on an as-needed basis according to customer demand.
• Professional development is generally scheduled during normal school hours, with peak periods from August through October and January through February.
