Senior Design Engineer (AV)

hirify.global designs and builds audiovisual and media technology spaces and experiences for corporate, entertainment, sports, retail, and government clients.

What you will do

• Lead the design of complex AV systems, including signal flow, system architecture, control integration, and networked AV solutions.
• Develop and review schematics, rack elevations, and floor plans using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Validate and approve bills of materials, equipment selections, system configurations, and design deliverables for accuracy, performance, and cost alignment.
• Collaborate with clients, sales teams, architects, and project managers to define and refine system requirements.
• Conduct design reviews, enforce QA/QC standards, and support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Identify performance and integration risks, develop mitigation strategies, and mentor Associate and Design Engineers.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of AV systems, signal flow, and integration methodologies.
• Expertise in unified communications platforms such as Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms.
• Experience with AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, and AMX.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for complex system challenges.
• High attention to detail and commitment to design accuracy and quality.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and mentor junior engineers.
