Architect

Location: Hybrid in San Jose, California, USA; 20% travel required. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident work authorization is required.

Base salary: $120,000–$140,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams delivering technical commercial design projects across multiple geographic regions.
• Lead client meetings and maintain result-oriented client communication.
• Develop project priorities and schedules for deliverables, reviews, bidding, and construction procurement.
• Provide team training and perform quality control and quality assurance reviews.
• Support construction through RFIs, submittal reviews, approved change orders, and monthly draw requests.
• Perform site visits and building assessments while applying and improving client standards.

Requirements

• California Licensed Architect.
• Accredited architectural degree or equivalent.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in design, construction documents, and construction administration.
• Strong AutoCAD skills required; Revit experience is a plus.
• Portfolio with examples of similar projects.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident work authorization required.

Nice to have

• Experience with renovations, building codes, ADA requirements, fire-resistive design, and egress analysis.
• Experience with elevator design and collaboration with State Fire Marshals or other AHJ inspectors.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and adaptability.
