Architect

TL;DR

Architect (Commercial Design): Coordinating and leading highly technical commercial design projects for diverse industries including data centers and healthcare with an accent on client relationship management and project scheduling. Focus on developing program deliverables, conducting quality control reviews, and supporting the construction process through RFI and submittal management.

Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid). U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Work Authorization Required

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Coordinate highly technical commercial design projects across multiple geographic regions.
• Lead client meetings and maintain strong professional relationships through result-oriented service.
• Develop project priorities, schedules for program deliverables, and manage bidding/procurement.
• Provide team training and perform Quality Control/Assurance reviews to ensure document consistency.
• Support construction by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and processing change orders.
• Perform site visits and building assessments based on project requirements.

Requirements

• California Licensed Architect
• Accredited Architectural Degree or equivalent.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in design, construction documents, and construction administration.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Work Authorization Required
• Portfolio with project examples of similar work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Revit.
• Knowledge of ADA requirements and building codes for various renovations.
• Experience in elevator design and fire resistive designs for existing buildings.
• Collaboration experience with State Fire Marshals and other AHJ inspectors.
