Project Manager, Industrial Automation Systems (Automation)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This position is not available for international relocation.

What you will do

• Lead and manage industrial automation projects from signed contract through accepted delivery.
• Act as the main customer interface and maintain relationships with customers and project participants.
• Ensure contractual obligations, guarantees, time schedules, budgets, and quality standards are fulfilled.
• Lead the project organization and coordinate engineering, logistics, FAT, customer training, commissioning, and start-up.
• Manage the project’s overall technical and financial responsibility and hand over completed projects to the Service organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering in E&I or Automation, or Chemical Engineering focused on papermaking or combustion.
• Five to ten years of experience in pulp and paper, power, or another heavy process industry.
• Three to five years of experience in a project lead position in the relevant industries, or one to two years of experience as a Project Manager in those industries.
• Knowledge of automation control systems in the relevant industries.
• Strong understanding of the business and technology, attention to detail, and ability to work closely with coworkers and customers.
• Fluent English and French communication skills, both verbal and written.
