Senior Project Manager (Construction)

Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada

Salary: $110,500.00–$130,000.00

What you will do

• Develop project strategies, charters, execution plans, budgets, schedules, and risk controls for construction and qualification projects.
• Lead project meetings, coordinate stakeholders, and oversee projects through conceptual, design, construction, and completion phases.
• Prepare project reports, review architectural and engineering drawings, and provide documentation to clients and facility management teams.
• Support consultant and construction-team selection, contracting, oversight, requisition review, change-order management, and invoice review.
• Participate in client presentations, marketing, business development, and contract negotiations.
• Supervise, develop, motivate, and evaluate Project Managers, Space Planners, CAD Operators, and other staff as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of directly related experience in an engineering or construction project accountability role.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in project management, including leading, motivating, and developing employees.
• Required experience in the construction industry, client relations, client management, contract negotiations, and consulting.
• B.S. degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced project management skills, strong analytical and communication abilities, and knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings and construction concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to implement applicable government laws, regulations, and rulings.
