Manufacturing Operations Manager

Location: Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Hybrid designation with an average requirement of 2 days per week from the HPE office; the role also states that full-time work is required from the HPE Aguadilla facility. Requires 30% travel and daily work with ODM/CM factories in Mexico.

What you will do

• Manage delivery, quality, supplier performance, and cost initiatives for ODM and contract manufacturing partners.
• Act as the primary interface with ODM/CM partners in Mexico, reporting and resolving or escalating material, quality, and engineering issues.
• Develop and implement build plans with Operations Planning, manage execution and reporting, and support timely product shipments to regional hubs.
• Coordinate with Supply Planning, Supply Chain, GCM, GSM, Logistics, RMA, HPE Tech Operations, Supplier Quality, and NPI teams.
• Manage production transitions for new products, internal engineering product returns and repairs, material orders, supply commitments, and ATP data.
• Ensure ECOs, MCOs, deviations, OCOGS tracking, contract manufacturing reporting, and financial impact reporting are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; a major in electronics or mechanical engineering is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in the electronics industry and similar roles such as project management or supply chain management.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with SAP ERP, Windows, Microsoft Office, Excel, and project management tools.
• Familiarity with document control, BOMs, ECOs, and process-driven work.
• Stationed in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, with work involving ODM/CM factories in Mexico.
• Ability to independently resolve issues according to established processes and guidelines, work flexible hours, operate under pressure, and apply problem-solving skills.
• Experience working effectively with multicultural, multi-location teams and the ability to work at both detailed and strategic levels.
• Excellent communication, coordination, presentation, negotiation, analytical, project management, team leadership, and influencing skills.
• Strong understanding of global procurement processes, complex suppliers, procurement tools, supply chain modeling, contracting principles, supplier development, and the company.
• Ability to create contracts from standard or customized templates, identify contract risks, draft contract solutions, and close complex deals with limited supervision.
• Mastery of English and the local language.
