Engineering Program Manager (Medtech)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; onsite role with no travel required. Candidates below the Principal level must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment.

Salary: $142,400–$213,600 per year; short-term incentive eligibility under the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Lead operations planning, execution, and implementation for complex new product introduction programs.
• Represent Operations on cross-functional product development core teams as the Core Team Operations Representative and Voice of Operations.
• Lead extended operations teams toward program milestones, budget targets, and commercialization objectives.
• Identify and mitigate manufacturing and supply chain risks, including schedule risk burndown.
• Develop and manage metrics for product cost, manufacturing yield, capacity, process capability, and component capability.
• Define manufacturing strategies and coordinate site selection, make-versus-buy decisions, contract manufacturing scope, capacity planning, equipment sourcing, design transfer, development builds, process validation, launch readiness, and regulatory deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of program or project management experience leading complex new product development programs, or a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline with 3+ years of that experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in product development, manufacturing, or operations environments.
• Experience managing program schedules, risks, budgets, and execution deliverables.
• Experience supporting product commercialization, manufacturing transfer, or new product introduction activities.
• Experience working in regulated industry environments.
• For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Engineering or an MBA.
• Medical device product development or manufacturing experience with knowledge of FDA, ICH, or IEC requirements.
• PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt, DFSS, or DRM certification.
• Experience with manufacturing process validation, capacity planning, and design transfer.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, DFMA, FTQ, or other structured problem-solving methodologies.
