Engineering Project Manager II (Hardware)

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA; other locations include Toronto, Canada and Oakland, California, USA. Onsite position with occasional travel.

Salary: $110,300–$143,400 annually for the role based in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

What you will do

• Own assigned product development programs from planning and execution through launch readiness and closeout.
• Build and communicate integrated plans covering scope, schedules, milestones, actions, risks, dependencies, and decision points.
• Translate product and business objectives into executable activities and delivery milestones.
• Identify scope concerns, blockers, risks, and dependencies; clarify ownership and escalate issues with recommendations.
• Lead cross-functional meetings and coordinate with product management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service, marketing, quality, and finance.
• Track hardware, firmware, software, BOM, subsystem, change management, and development milestones to maintain accurate program visibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience, including 5+ years managing cross-functional programs through end-to-end delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage schedules, actions, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
• Working knowledge of hardware, firmware, and software development processes.
• Strong communication, ownership, influence, meeting leadership, and action-closure skills.
• Ability to work onsite in the specified US or Canada locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with phase-gate or similar new product development processes.
• Experience across hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, supply chain, service, and quality functions.
• Experience with industrial, commercial, connected, or other integrated hardware products.
• PMP certification or equivalent training with practical application.
• Experience with global teams, suppliers, or distributed development organizations.
