Engineering Program Manager (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Onsite in Somerset, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $106,548–$142,064 per year, plus bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Lead New Product Introduction programs from customer and market requirements through engineering development, validation, design release, production readiness, and project closeout.
• Own integrated program plans, milestones, operating cadences, status reporting, decision management, and cross-functional follow-through.
• Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Software, Controls, Operations, Supply Chain, Technical Support, and Field Service activities.
• Track engineering maturity, drawings, specifications, BOMs, ECOs, validation activities, technical issues, and product lifecycle deliverables.
• Drive production readiness, including material availability, sourcing, manufacturing documentation, tooling, build planning, and ERP/MRP product structure transitions.
• Manage schedules, critical paths, costs, risks, dependencies, resource constraints, recovery actions, and executive-facing program communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience managing complex engineering, product development, or NPI programs across multiple technical disciplines and business functions.
• Experience leading cross-functional NPI execution from product requirements and engineering validation through design release and production readiness.
• Knowledge of complex electro-mechanical systems, including robotics, vacuum pumps, motors, heaters, power supplies, instrumentation, PLC/control systems, and PC-based controls.
• Ability to work with engineering drawings, system architecture, BOM structures, ECO and change-control processes, technical dependencies, and verification and validation status.
• Strong program-management, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and stakeholder-influence skills.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional certification or equivalent formal project-management training.
• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment, vacuum systems, wafer-processing equipment, or similarly complex automated electro-mechanical products.
• Experience with SAP or comparable ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
