Software Developer (C#/.NET)

Location: Flexible hybrid work model in Oakville, Ontario, Canada; other listed locations are Toronto and Waterloo, Canada.

Salary: CAD 85,000–105,000 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Define, design, and implement software applications based on industry standards and best practices.
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Develop high-performance C# and SQL functionality for real-time data processing and storage, along with responsive JavaScript and TypeScript interfaces.
• Perform test-driven and security-driven development, comprehensive code reviews, and documentation for maintenance and code reuse.
• Analyze call stacks, trace files, debug logs, and performance data to troubleshoot bugs and identify root causes.
• Develop prototypes, minimum viable products, and proofs of concept while collaborating on functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and system architecture.

Requirements

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of previous experience in a related field.
• Experience with Linux, C#, and .NET, including object-oriented design, unit testing, optimization, and multithreaded programming.
• Experience programming with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Working knowledge of cloud computing with GCP, AWS, and/or Azure.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks and projects.
• Ability to work effectively as a team player, engage with all organizational levels, and operate with an entrepreneurial mindset in a flat organizational structure.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Python, TypeScript, ES6, .NET Core, Google Compute Engine, and Google BigQuery.
