Software Engineer Technical Lead (C# and Angular)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with office attendance two days per week and remote work on other days.

Salary: CAD 113,840–156,530 per year for Toronto, plus an annual discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Shape the architecture, design, and development of scalable software solutions for critical business functions.
• Own major features and technical initiatives from concept through production release.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and promote engineering best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems in distributed and enterprise-scale environments.
• Support production health through in-hours second-line support as part of an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Extensive experience building enterprise applications with C#/.NET, Angular, and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and building modern web applications and APIs.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture patterns and design principles.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience driving technical initiatives and contributing to engineering decisions.
• Experience performing code reviews and mentoring engineers.
• Solid problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with functional programming principles and patterns.
• Experience with Event Sourcing, Event-Driven Architecture, or CQRS-based systems.
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems.
• Exposure to financial services, investment management, capital markets, or trading platforms.
• Experience with Oracle database development, optimization, or migration projects.
• Knowledge of cloud-native development and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience working with microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with the FIX protocol and the order lifecycle.
