Technical Recruiter, Environmental Health & Safety

Location: Hawthorne, CA (Los Angeles area); full-time onsite work required. Hybrid and remote work will not be considered. Other listed locations: Bastrop, TX; Starbase, TX.

Salary: Level 1 — $85,000–$110,000 annually; Level 2 — $100,000–$135,000 annually. Actual level and base salary depend on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

• Partner with client groups on headcount, requisitions, hiring strategy, and interview feedback.
• Screen applicants, source active and passive candidates, and recommend top candidates for interviews.
• Give facility tours, attend interviews, and coordinate the onsite candidate experience.
• Manage offer processes, including background checks, offer-package negotiation, and offer letters.
• Attract, organize, and manage candidate pipelines as hiring priorities and recruiting volume change.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of recruiting experience; or associate degree and 2+ years of experience; or 3+ years of professional recruiter experience in lieu of a degree.
• Availability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Hawthorne, CA; hybrid and remote work will not be considered.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of technical recruiting experience.
• 2+ years recruiting for IT, InfoSec, materials engineering, software engineering, environmental health and safety, construction, or physical security.
• In-house recruiting, high-volume recruiting, and skilled-labor recruiting experience.
• Strong tenure with demonstrated success in recruiting roles and full life-cycle recruiting experience from sourcing to closing.
• Experience reviewing, evaluating, and reporting on recruiting data.
• Ability to distinguish the top 50% from the top 5% of talent in relevant fields.
• Expertise in non-standard recruiting methods, including cold calling, ad hoc networking events, industry-expert identification, and targeted sourcing campaigns.
• Ability to interface directly with director- and VP-level technical leaders, build relationships with hiring managers and candidates, and influence decisions as a talent subject-matter expert.
• Ability to multitask, operate with little direction, and remain an active team member.
