Inventory Accounting Specialist

What you will do

• Analyze gross margin, inventory, and cost accounting reports for an assigned region.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, questionable margin results, and inventory-related exceptions with branch and finance teams.
• Support inventory controls, including monthly SOX reporting, internal control activities, inventory adjustments, and consignment inventory reporting.
• Participate in annual physical inventory counts, reconciliations, variance analysis, and adjustment activities.
• Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, review accounting transactions, and support month-end close activities.
• Support Regional Finance Managers and Analysts with inventory investigations and transaction reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in accounting, finance, inventory accounting, or cost accounting.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and overall proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
