Commercial Construction Senior Project Manager - Mission Critical

Location: Seattle, WA; initially based in the Seattle market, with travel and work on project sites outside the Seattle area as project needs evolve.

Base salary: $121,000–$165,000 per year. Compensation may vary in other cities and states.

What you will do

• Lead large-scale mission critical and data center projects from preconstruction and design coordination through construction, commissioning, closeout, and turnover.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, quality, risks, safety standards, and project delivery.
• Coordinate complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with project teams, subcontractors, and commissioning partners.
• Plan critical milestones including equipment delivery, energization, commissioning, and turnover, while maintaining project documentation.
• Negotiate contracts, time extensions, and change orders with clients and subcontractors.
• Lead project staffing and performance management, resolve scope and field coordination issues, support RFPs, and develop client and new business relationships.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with a commercial general contractor, including substantial experience managing large-scale mission critical or data center construction.
• Demonstrated success leading complex data center projects, including oversight of budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, critical MEP systems, commissioning, and turnover requirements.
• Availability to work initially in the Seattle market and travel to or accept project assignments outside the Seattle area.
• Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and support new business opportunities.
• Ability to manage multiple project priorities and lead teams effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction project management software.

Nice to have

• A four-year degree from an accredited university in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• Additional relevant work experience may be considered instead of a degree.
