Data Center Construction – Mid - Senior Commissioning Project Manager

Location: Significant onsite presence required in Charleston, SC, with travel based on project and client needs.

Salary: $110,000–$160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Lead commissioning managers, engineers, project managers, and third-party commissioning partners across concurrent data center construction projects.
• Develop commissioning strategies, resource plans, schedules, execution methodologies, and project documentation.
• Direct Level 1–5 commissioning, equipment startup, functional performance testing, integrated systems testing, load bank testing, and operational readiness activities.
• Provide technical oversight for electrical distribution, UPS and battery systems, generators, cooling plants, HVAC, BMS, EPMS, SCADA, fire alarm, and life safety systems.
• Review design documents, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, commissioning plans, scripts, reports, and turnover documentation.
• Advise clients, coordinate contractors and vendors, manage risks and deficiencies, and support successful project delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in commissioning, construction management, mission-critical facilities, or data center infrastructure projects.
• 3+ years managing commissioning teams, consultants, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience is considered.
• Extensive experience with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or mission-critical data center construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, UPS systems, generators, HVAC, controls, BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and integrated systems testing.
• Ability to work onsite in Charleston, SC and travel according to project and client needs.
