Project Manager - PreK-12 (Architecture)

Location: San Francisco, CA, US; hybrid schirify.globalule with regular in-office days and travel to project sites locally and across the US.

Salary: $125,000–$180,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and direct multidisciplinary A/E teams and project activities from programming and schematic design through design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration.
• Prepare, implement, and monitor project plans, strategies, schirify.globalules, short-term tasks, staffing needs, and discipline-hour budgets.
• Manage client activities, owner and consultant contracts, required project data, contract adherence, and additional service fees.
• Coordinate design and technical reviews, quality procedures, project team activities, and adherence to the hirify.global Project Design Process.
• Manage project risk, resources, financial performance, issue resolution, and success metrics with Operations and Business Leaders.
• Support proposals, owner-agreement negotiations, marketing activities, client relationships, interviews, and post-construction evaluations.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of post-graduate professional experience in the A/E industry.
• Minimum 5 years as an A/E or Client-Side Project Manager with direct responsibility for project financial and risk management.
• Experience with DSA-permitted PreK-12 projects in California.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering and professional licensure in California.
• Extensive knowledge of professional A/E services from marketing through project close-out and comprehensive understanding of coordinating all design disciplines.
• Strong business acumen, leadership, teamwork, communication, writing, organizational, and client-management skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, influence, and persuade others in a design-focused environment under deadline pressure.
• Proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, strategic, detail-oriented, mature, assertive, and forthright approach.
• Ability to travel to project sites and attend client, project, and construction meetings, including access to existing and new sites for observation, investigation, and evaluation.
