Investment Data Analyst

Location: Boston, MA; hybrid work environment with remote and onsite work. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Base salary: $123,000–$177,500 annually, plus eligibility for a competitive incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Identify, analyze, track, and resolve investment data quality and accuracy issues, including root-cause remediation.
• Manage and prioritize the end-to-end backlog of data quality issues and requests using stakeholder input and risk mitigation principles.
• Own data flows, dependencies, and lineage; resolve data ambiguities and conduct data quality impact analyses.
• Coordinate issue resolution across Operations, Technology, Distribution, Legal, Compliance, Data, and other stakeholders, escalating decisions and thematic challenges when appropriate.
• Support data-related strategic initiatives through requirements definition, testing, business support, data standardization, and policy adherence.
• Improve Data Management processes, manage data quality dashboards, inform data and technology funding decisions, and contribute to dashboard design and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
• 6–8+ years of investment management industry experience, preferably including 7 or more years in investment data, analytics, and/or investment operations.
• Strong project management and process management skills for targeted and ongoing data quality improvement projects.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently develop creative and scalable solutions.
• Deep understanding of how data is used in investment and related processes and how it affects process outcomes.
• Broad knowledge of equity and fixed-income security types, including derivatives, related data methodologies, and industry standards.
• Strong professional judgment, communication, collaboration, conflict-resolution, and relationship-building skills across organizational levels.
• Experience with descriptive, diagnostic, regression, and other basic data analysis techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, demanding environment and communicate at all organizational levels.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, Bloomberg PORT, Charles River Investment Manager Solution, Eagle Investment Systems, FactSet, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
• Python and SQL experience.
• CFA, demonstrated progress toward the CFA, or interest in pursuing it.
