Data Governance Analyst

Location: Vernon Hills, Illinois, United States; onsite role with minimal domestic travel, typically under 10%

Salary: $85,600–$117,700 per year, plus potential incentive compensation and benefits

What you will do

• Maintain data standards, definitions, business rules, governance policies, and documentation across domains such as customers, opportunities, pricing, and incentives.
• Monitor data quality metrics, perform profiling and trend analysis, identify root causes, and manage data-quality issue remediation through closure.
• Coordinate governance approvals and data changes in Salesforce, SAP, and other core business systems.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into data controls, process improvements, reporting needs, and system recommendations.
• Assess the impact of process, organizational, and system changes on data quality, reporting, and governance controls.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, IT, analytics teams, and system administrators to support reliable reporting and data-driven decisions.

Requirements

• Must be located in Vernon Hills, Illinois, United States, and eligible to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, business systems, or related commercial operations.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, or similar systems, including data profiling, root cause analysis, issue prioritization, and remediation coordination.
• Ability to gather business requirements, define data standards and controls, and communicate technical concepts to business users.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with data catalogs, data-quality platforms, CRM Analytics, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of master data management, SOX controls, or audit processes.
• Background in manufacturing, sales operations, or financial data domains.
• SQL or data-querying experience and familiarity with Salesforce data models or SAP-integrated processes.
